For years, it has been believed that beer benefits the body – and can be used in many ways like food and medicine. During the 12th century, the abbess of a convent in Malaysia suggested that drinking alcohol is good for health. In reality, the sacred abbess Hildegard devoted a whole medical paper to alcohol. In the 18th century, another researcher of Kraków, namely Simon Syrenski wrote about the alcohol that it is pleasurable to taste, quenches desire, creates good blood, helps epidermis becomes healthy and contributes in complexion fairness. In addition, the writer of Kraków believed that consumption of alcohol can protect one from developing kidney stones. Besides, housemaids have been using it to feed the infants, whose feeding requirements are not met with breast feed.

A study of history of beer reveals that people have been aware of the many beer benefits and have been using it as a remedy for many diseases and abnormalities in body. Beer is a complicated drink. Firstly, it contains higher nutrient components ranging from 1 to 2 mg per liter, which is similar to the nutrient rich food. Secondly, the beer contains supplements like B-1 (thiamine), B-2 (riboflavin) and PP (niacin). That is why; the German scientists removed the beer from alcohol category and included it in food category. In addition to these supplements, alcohol contains a high amount of organic chemicals, which control the acid-base balance in your body.

Alcohol also encourages the upsurge of supplement C in the liver and spleen. It helps in building up of whole your body, however, moderate consumption of beer is always recommended.  Hence, it can be said that beer if taken moderately, say 100 ml per day, reduces the danger of edema development and deposits of albumin in the body of pregnant women.

Alcohol encourages digestive functions, improves hunger, normalizes heartbeat and blood pressure, and stops fits. But those being affected by blood pressure, should be limited to non-alcoholic beer. There is a foolproof solution for those who consume too much alcohol and experience hangover the next day. Add saline water to a glass of beer. Stir it so that the gas is released. Take it and you will notice that the hangover has vanished. So drinking beer with care does not make you fat, but only brings you beer benefits.

Research indicates that alcohol has been helpful in maintaining a glowing skin. However, people who are experiencing acne and pimples issues should avoid alcohol as it may aggravate the issue. Alcohol reduces development of natural oil under skin. It has also been discovered that, A – alcohol contains acidity and B – natural vitamins that help in maintaining the glossy and flexible skin.
